Vouchers are the perfect ‘cop-out’ for those who leave gift shopping until the last minute or are just too busy to browse shop after shop looking for the right present. They are also a great gift to receive as, although some are for a specific item, the majority of vouchers can be redeemed on purchases for anything in the store they’ve been bought from. I loved getting a voucher as a present when I was a kid because if there wasn’t anything in the store that took my fancy I would just stand in the checkout queue and offer to knock a couple of quid off if a customer would swap cash for my voucher!
